I figured we need a cute way of referring to each other! I mean, couples do that sort of thing, right? But I didn't know how you would feel about a couple of them, so I wanted to try some and see what would stick...

[She says, between forkfuls of cake..]

You can call me whatever you'd like! I do like Princess a lot...but I don't know if Prince really rolls off the tongue, you know? I mean, it'd be cute to match, but...

[As much as she'd love to return that hug, she held her hands in the air, mostly to keep cake and icing off of Anna. Making her dirty wouldn't be appropriate but she did enjoy the closeness.]

I-I'm glad you like it! I've never made a shortcake before, but Kaori said that you have to have one on Christmas Eve, so...

But I guess I kinda had to learn at some point or another. Especially since I'm in charge of baking club now, so..

Are you? That's quite the responsibility you've taken on. Unfortunately, I can't really give you any tips. All I know is how to work with survival rations and not much else.

[And there's a dumb joke there about survival rations but Lucina doesn't joke so it's moot.]

It is, but I know I can do it! You should come join us, though. We're always taking new members, and I'd love to show you how to do all kinds of baking stuff. It's really fun, honestly, and I'm sure you'd be great at it!

[ She puts her hand on top of Lucina's encouragingly... ]

I happen to be in a couple clubs already but if it's you, I would not mind sparing the time...

[Yes, it's the last part that attracts her, not the baking. She's willing to make some sacrifices too!! Mostly to hold Anna's hand...right now.]

Well, if it conflicts with something, don't worry about it too much, but...I'm just saying, I'd love to have you.

[ She'll take her hand in hers, too. Way too cute.. ]

Though of course I'll have to act in a purely professional manner during club activities...

Oh, trust me, I would never! I mean, I have to help run a country after all, I know all about the importance of being just and all..! ...Still, I'll obviously give you help, if you need it. That sounds like a wonderful deal to me.

[ And she leans up to kiss her cheek again.. ]

[The Exalt closes her eyes, just to enjoy the feeling that much better.

[She even got to say it! But yes, Anna has her full attention.]

[ Oh, geez, hearing Lucina call her that makes her heart skip a beat...she was resolved to just come out and say it before. But now she's just kind of looking in her eyes, wondering where exactly to start. She's a bit nervous...but also, she figures, she has nothing to really be afraid of. So she pushes through the butterflies in her tummy and just...says it. No fanfare. No buildup. Just...letting the words speak for themselves for now. ]

...I love you, Lucina.

H-huh?

[Not what she expected at all! Which means that she was going all red.]

Love....me?

[Oh no...]

Are...are you sure?

That's right.

[ Her grip on Lucina's hand gets just a bit tighter as she nods. Her face is red too, but...she's still smiling, keeping eye contact with her. ]

I'm positive of it. There's no other way I could possibly explain the way I feel when I see you. ...It's gotta be love. I mean, love is putting someone else's needs before yours, right? And when I'm with you...I know I want to do everything I can to make you happy, and safe, and protected, and cared for, you know?

But it's a different feeling from wanting to make sure my friends are safe or something. It's more like...I dunno, to me, being with you feels like home, you know? Like my whole body is just tingling and full of sunshine whenever I see you...And it's something that I really, really don't want to let go of, no matter what happens. It's something I've never really felt before, either, even though I've been in a relationship before, so, like, I know it's real, or at least, more real than it was with the others.

So...yeah. I'm...I'm sure. I love you, Lucina. I know I do.

[Deep breath!!]

I've yet to be in a relationship before but this has felt natural enough that it seems....right. As such, I think I can accept your feelings with a clean conscience and return them.

I wouldn't have been upset if you had said that you didn't! I mean, I didn't know when the right time would be, but I just...wanted to get it out in the open, that I did.

B-But I'm glad that you do! Really glad, actually! I, um...you just make me really happy, Lucina.

[She lets out a breath that she didn't realize she was holding in. Hearing those words from Lucina makes her heart start to beat that much quicker..]

And I want you to be happy, too.
